As 2016 comes to an end, inwardBOUND will be gearing ahead into 2017 with new programmes and plans.
This year, we started working with schools to conduct drama based programmes to tackle Social and Emotional Learning (SEL). We ran two Forum Theatre programmes to address some of the issues the students were facing. The drama approach helped the students to address and deal with their issues in a safe and controlled environment. To continue our quest in helping students learn and grow, we will be introducing a series of drama and mindfulness programmes in line with the cognitive, affective and behavioural competencies under the Social and Emotional Learning, to promote self-awareness and emotion engagement. This is specially targeted at Normal (Technical) classes. To find out more about these programmes, please do not hesitate to drop us an email via enquiry@inwardbound.com.sg

We will also be running our usual Drama in Curriculum programmes that teaches students drama techniques and performance making. The process of making, rehearsing and performing drama offers a fun and hands-on approach to support the school curriculum including English Language, Literature, Character and Citizenship Education, Public Speaking, Teambuilding and Leadership.

Inwardbound's Drama-in-Curriculum programmes typically run for 10-15 weeks, comprising of drama games, exercises, rehearsals and performance assessments. Each programme is customised to fit into the school's scheme of work and can lead to an inter-class competition or assembly show. Our programmes have been refined over the years to include emphasis on 21st Century Skills. Click here to find out more.
